Following our unprecedented screening at the United Nations in Geneva last month, Invisible Picture Show will be shown in a private press screening in Mexico City on the 7th of November, to highlight the issue of child detention in the Mexican media.

We are still waiting to confirm the first public premiere of the film.

No only that, but on the 9th of November 1000 Voices will be screening in competition at the Festival Cinéma et Droits Humains in Paris.

United Nations: Performance and Private Screening

Extracts from my forthcoming documentary Invisible Picture Show were screened to over 300 delegates at the United Nations in Geneva on 28 Sept in an official event highlighting the effects of immigration detention on children.

The film was accompanied by a performance which I developed in collaboration with a group of ex-detainees from Afghanistan, Brazil, Eritrea and Iraq. The performance featured their testimony of life in detention. The UN Committee on the Rights of the Child said afterwards that it was the most powerful child participation event at the UN they have ever been part of.

POSH! will be unleashed very soon.

MOVIMIENTO CINEMACHETE:

The movement was founded by Juan Soto, Simon J. Paetau and myself, in the middle of a Bogota student riot, in 2007. The first films were made in Latin America but since then it has spread to Europe. Productions include BANADOS POR EL TIGRE, 4 MOVIMIENTOS POR EL CUERPO HUMANO, EL OTRO LADO DE LA CINEAGA and OURY JALLOH.

MOVIMIENTO CINEMACHETE explores experimental processes of filmmaking that play with the boundaries between documentary and fiction.

POSH! THE PRINCE:
